🏓 Tournament Format

🔸 Doubles Format

• Group Stage: Round-robin within each group per category.
• Knockout Stage: Top 2 teams from each group advance to single-elimination rounds.
• Format Adjustments: May be applied depending on the number of participants.
• Seeding: All categories (except Novice) will feature seeding for the Top 8 / Top 4 players, based on DUPR Rating and the Tournament Director’s discretion.

🔗 Tie-Breaking (Group Stage)

If two or more teams are tied on win–loss records, standings will be decided as follows:

1. Total Point Differential (points scored minus points conceded across all group matches)
2. Head-to-Head Result (only if exactly two teams are tied)
3. Coin Toss (conducted by the Tournament Director, in rare cases where head-to-head was not played)

👥 Team Event Format

The Team Event combines doubles matches with the exciting Dreambreaker singles tiebreaker.

Each team match includes five (5) matches in the following order:

1. Men’s Singles
2. Women’s Doubles
3. Men’s Doubles
4. Mixed Doubles
5. Dreambreaker (if required)

🌟 Dreambreaker Format

• Activated only if the team match is tied after four matches.
• Each team nominates 3 male players and 2 female players.
• Singles are played in rotating order, with players switching every 4 points.

📏 Match Officiating & Rules

👨‍⚖️ Refereeing

• 🏓 From the Group Stage up to the Quarterfinals, matches will be self-refereed.
• 📝 A Match Official will be on standby to resolve disputes or challenges.
• 🎤 Semifinals & Finals will be officiated by appointed referees for fair play.

👀 Line Calls

• 🎯 The receiving team is responsible for all line calls on their side, unless an official referee or line judge is present.
• 🤝 Teams may agree to refer close calls to the Match Official.
• 🔄 If no clear decision can be made, the rally will be replayed.

🎙️ Serve Rules

• 📣 The serving team must announce the score loudly and clearly before each serve.
• 🔁 If the score is not called, the receiving team may request a re-serve.
• 👥 Servers must also confirm that the receiving team is ready before serving.
