From 21–23 November 2025, the Tomaz Pickleball Club transforms into the epicenter of pickleball excellence. Expect electrifying rallies, roaring crowds, and a prize pool of over RM100,000 across team, men’s, women’s, and mixed categories.

🚨 Schedule Disclaimer

The tournament schedule is tentative and may change depending on the number of participants. Please keep an eye on the Baseline app and Cakenis social media for updates.

⚠️ Important Note
Players registered in Mixed Doubles Intermediate are not eligible to register for Mixed Doubles Open, as both categories will be played simultaneously. The same applies to Women’s Doubles Intermediate and Women’s Doubles Open.

While players are welcome to participate in multiple categories, it is their responsibility to ensure that the categories they select do not clash in the schedule. Please refer carefully to the published schedule to avoid conflicts.

Please check the schedule carefully to avoid clashes. If a scheduling conflict arises, players may be required to withdraw from one of the categories to prevent delays and ensure the smooth running of the tournament.

🏓 Tournament Format

Doubles Format

  • Group Stage: Round-robin within each group per category.
  • Knockout Stage: Top 2 teams from each group advance to single-elimination rounds.
  • Format Adjustments: May be made depending on final participation numbers.
  • Seeding: All categories (except Novice) will have the Top 8 / Top 4 players seeded, based on DUPR Rating and Tournament Director’s discretion.

🔗 Tie-Breaking Criteria (Group Stage)

If two or more teams finish with identical win–loss records, standings will be determined in the following order:

  1. Total Point Differential – Points scored minus points conceded across all group matches.
  2. Head-to-Head Result – Applied only if exactly two teams are tied.
  3. Coin Toss – Conducted by the Tournament Director, used only in the rare case that a head-to-head match was not played.

👥 Team Event Format

The Team Event will feature a combination of doubles matches and a special Dreambreaker singles tiebreaker format.

Each team match will consist of five (5) matches in the following order:

  1. Men’s Doubles (1st Match)
  2. Women’s Doubles (2nd Match)
  3. Mixed Doubles (3rd Match)
  4. Men's Doubles (4th Match)
  5. Dreambreaker (5th Match, if required)

🌟 Dreambreaker Format

  • Played only if the team match is tied after the first four matches.
  • Each team must nominate 3 male players and 2 female players.
  • Singles will be played in a rotating order, with players switching every 4 points.

🔹 Novice & Intermediate Categories

Group Stages to Quarterfinals

  • Rally scoring to 15 points
  • 1 set per match
  • 1 timeout (1 min) per match
  • No Deuce – Sudden Death at 14–14

Semifinals to Finals

  • Rally scoring to 15 points
  • Best of 3 sets
  • 1 timeout (1 min) per team, per set
  • No Deuce – Sudden Death at 14–14

🔹 Open Categories

Group Stages to Quarterfinals

  • Traditional scoring (002) to 11 points
  • 1 set per match
  • 1 timeout (1 min) per match
  • No Deuce – Sudden Death at 10–10

Semifinals to Finals

  • Traditional scoring (002) to 11 points
  • Best of 3 sets
  • 1 timeout (1 min) per team, per set
  • No Deuce – Sudden Death at 10–10

🔹 Team Event

Group Stages to Quarterfinals

  • Rally scoring to 15 points
  • 1 set per match
  • 1 timeout (1 min) per match
  • No Deuce – Sudden Death at 14–14

Semifinals to Finals

  • Rally scoring to 21 points
  • 1 set per match
  • 1 timeout (1 min) per team, per set
  • No Deuce – Sudden Death at 20–20

Dreambreaker

  • Rally scoring to 30 points
  • 1 set
  • 1 timeout (1 min) per team, per set
  • No Deuce – Sudden Death at 29–29

📏 Match Officiating & Rules

Refereeing

  • From the Group Stage up to the Quarterfinals, matches shall be self-refereed.
  • A designated Match Official will be available to handle disputes and challenges.
  • Semifinals & Finals will be officiated by appointed Referees.

Line Calls

  • The receiving team is responsible for all line calls on their side, unless a certified referee or line judge is officiating.
  • Line calls may be referred to the Match Official if both teams agree.
  • If the Match Official is unable to make a determination, the rally shall be replayed.

Serve

  • The serving team must clearly and audibly announce the score before initiating each serve.
  • Failure to do so entitles the receiving team to request a re-serve.
  • The serving team must also ensure the receiving team is ready before serving.

📊 DUPR Reliability Policy

  • Players with a DUPR reliability score below 10% will be treated as Unrated (0.000/NR).
  • If one partner is Unrated, their level will be considered the same as their partner’s rating, or at the Tournament Director’s discretion.
  • If both partners have a reliability score below 10%, the pair will be considered Unrated(NR) and placed according to the Tournament Director’s discretion.
  • This ensures fair placement and avoids mismatches due to incomplete or unreliable rating data.
