🏆 ASIA PICKLEBALL JUNIOR OPEN 2026 TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

1. 📍 VENUE & DATES

• Venue: Mahidol University.
• Address: 999 Phutthamonthon Sai 4 Road, Salaya, Nakhon Pathom 73170, Thailand.
• Tournament Dates: 28-30 Jul 2026.
• Location: Bangkok, Thailand.

2. 📝 REGISTRATION DETAILS & FEES

• Registration Opens: 10 Apr 2026.
• Registration Closes: 30 Jun 2026.

• Registration Fees: USD 40 per event, per participant.
• Complimentary Events: To encourage players to challenge themselves by competing in higher age divisions, the 3rd and 4th event registrations will be complimentary.
• Process for Complimentary Events: Participants must first register and pay for their first two events. For the complimentary events, please email [email protected] after completing the initial registration.

3. 👥 ELIGIBILITY & DIVISIONS

• Age Determination: Player eligibility is determined by the player's age as of 31 July 2026.
• Age Limits: Minimum age: 10 years old. Players are allowed to play up one age category (e.g., 12U players can compete in 14U).
• Skill Levels: No Skill Divisions - The tournament is open to all skill levels.
• Divisions:
  • Boys Singles (BS) - 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U.
  • Girls Singles (GS) - 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U.
  • Boys Doubles (BD) - 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U.
  • Girls Doubles (GD) - 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U.
• A minimum of 4 teams is required to start a Divisional tournament. If there are insufficient numbers of participants, a division will be merged into another Division.

4. 🗓️ TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

• 28 Jul 2026 (Tuesday):
  • Morning: Boys Singles 16U.
  • Afternoon: Boys Singles 12U, Girls Singles 12U and 16U.
• 29 Jul 2026 (Wednesday):
  • Morning: Boys Doubles 14U, 18U and Girls Doubles 14U, 18U.
  • Afternoon: Boys Doubles 12U, 16U and Girls Doubles 12U, 16U.
• 30 Jul 2026 (Thursday):
  • Morning: Boys Singles 14U, Girls Singles 14U.
  • Afternoon: Boys Singles 18U, Girls Singles 18U.

5. 🎾 COMPETITION FORMAT

• General Scoring: All matches will be side out/traditional scoring. For Singles, each match is 11 points. For Doubles, each match is 15 points.
• Round 1 (Round Robin): Each Round Robin's Group shall be a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5. Top 2 teams from each group will be promoted to Round 2. Game to 11 or 15 points. End change after scoring 6 or 8. No deuce. First to reach 11 or 15 wins.
• Round 2 (Single Elimination): Game to 11 or 15 points. End change after scoring 6 or 8. No deuce. First to reach 11 or 15 wins.

6. ⚖️ RULES & REGULATIONS

• Rulebook: Unless otherwise stated, we shall be adopting USA Pickleball (USAP) 2026 Official Rulebook.
• Equipment & Courts: Tennis courts with temporary pickleball tape lines. Total 20 indoor and outdoor courts. Official Balls: USA Pickleball approved Zocker 5-Star Pickleball in neon green. All paddles used must be UPA-A or USAP certified.
• Officiating: All matches will be non-officiated except for medal matches.
• Timeouts: Regular Timeout - There will be one (1) one minute timeout per game, per team. Medical Timeout: - A player may be granted only one medical time-out per match.
• Reporting time: All teams must check-in 30 minutes before your first match. Do note that check-in at registration counters must be done daily.

7. 🥇 MEDALS & REWARDS

• Medals: Medals (Gold, Silver, and Bronze) shall be awarded to all divisions.
• Ceremony: The Prize presentation ceremony shall be held soon after the final. All prize winners must be present personally at the ceremony in neat attire.
• World Championship Invite: All medallist will be invited to participate in Pickleball World Championships (Junior) in Dallas, Texas USA.
